Colleen Thayer

Colleen is a public relations professional, and political advocate (lobbyist) with more than 20 years under her belt. She’s had the opportunity to work at the federal level for Congressman, Porter Goss, and her first entree into the political arena. Then a stint in the state House, followed by the state Senate with Senator John McKay, a great mentor and legislator. This was great preparation for the public relations and legislative work Colleen was then able to do for the next seven years in the nonprofit behavioral health world, followed by lots and lots of water! Lobbying, public relations, both internal and external, and management opportunities have provided the foundation for the next step in her career.

As president of cjt Strategies, LLC, Colleen is focused on providing clients with comprehensive and strategic communications, advocacy, and lobbying to achieve success.

Apart from the professional world, and more importantly, is her family – husband Chad and three gorgeous children. Sarasota, Florida is home where the family also enjoys their wonderful fur-children, Huck, Mabel and the new addition, Holiday (Holly Belle)!
